I love theatre!  I love everything about performing. I love live theatre and film.  This means I am very excited about teaching Theatre Arts!

Theatre Arts begins with learning theatre terminology and jobs in the theatre.  From there we read and analyze scripts and characters.  We play theatre games to help students use their actor tools.  These tools are Voice, Imagination, Body, and Emotion.  So theatre is often an active class.  Many grades are based on participation but there is also academic work including writing assignments.

Expect a lot of vocabulary to begin.  We will also analyze scripts and characters.  And we should have you on the stage acting in scenes before the Christmas Break!

This class requires a great deal of participation and you may feel foolish a lot of the time.  But my saying is, "if you feel like you are making a fool out of yourself then you are probably doing everything right!"

Theatre is bigger than life, so you have to make everything you do on stage BIGGER than your regular life.  That means louder!  Move movement!  Higher emotional levels!  And a great imagination will do wonders for you!
