MISSION

The mission of the Elgin ISD Career & Technical Education department is to provide every student with rigorous, skill-based, and hands-on learning that prepares them for success in a global workforce. We are committed to equitable access, student choice, and opportunities that inspire personal growth and professional readiness. Through strong community partnerships, co-curricular engagement and work-based learning experiences, we provide direct pathways to college, trade school, careers, and lifelong success. We prepare students for future careers while equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and attributes to thrive as contributing adults in their families and communities.

Public Notification of Nondiscrimination in Career and Technical Education Programs
Elgin ISD offers career and technical programs in Animal Science, Plant Science, Food Science & Technology, Automotive and Collision Repair, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Digital Communications, HVAC, Electrical, Welding, Culinary Arts, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services, Law Enforcement, Teaching and Training, Programming and Software Development, and Cybersecurity. Admission to these programs is based on interest, aptitude, previous coursework, age appropriateness, and available class space.

It is the policy of Elgin ISD not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex or handicap in its vocational programs, services or activities and provides equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. Elgin ISD ofrece programas profesionales y técnicos en Ciencias Animales, Ciencias Vegetales, Ciencia y Tecnología de los Alimentos, Reparación Automotriz y de Colisiones, Administración de Empresas, Emprendimiento, Comunicaciones Digitales, Climatización (HVAC), Electricidad, Soldadura, Artes Culinarias, Servicios Diagnósticos y Terapéuticos, Fuerzas del Orden Público, Docencia y Capacitación, Programación y Desarrollo de Software, y Ciberseguridad. La admisión a estos programas se basa en el interés, la aptitud, los cursos previos, la edad apropiada y la disponibilidad de cupo.
