Are you College & Career Ready?

The goal is for students to meet at least one of the criteria below before graduation.

• Score a 3 or higher on an Advanced Placement Exam 

• Meet Texas Success Initiative Assessment criteria in reading and math (TSI, SAT, or ACT)
  • TSIA English (945 multiple choice, 5 essay)
  • TSIA Math (950 multiple choice)
  • ACT English (Combined score of 40 on English & Writing)
  • ACT Math (22 or higher)
  • SAT English (480 or higher)
  • SAT Math (530 or higher)

• Complete a course for dual credit
  • 9 hours or more in any subject
  • 3 hours or more in ELA or Mathematics

• Earn an associate degree

• Complete OnRamps course and qualify for college credit 

• Complete an aligned CTE program of study and earn an Industry Based Certification 

  • Animal Science / Veterinary Assistant Certification

  • Teaching & Training / Educational Aide I Certification

  • Food Science & Technology / Food Safety & Science Certification

  • Plant Science / Texas State Florists Association Certification

  • Welding / AWS Structural Steel and Sheet Metal Certifications

  • Digital Communications / Adobe Premiere Pro Certification 

  • Business Management / Microsoft Excel and Word Certifications

  • Automotive / ASE Entry Level Automotive Certifications

  • Law Enforcement / Security Officer & Telecommunicator Certifications

  • Healthcare Diagnostics / Medical Assistant Certification

  • Programming & Software Development / CodeHS Python Level I
