Apply Texas

Apply Texas is an online college application platform used by public universities and some private colleges in the state of Texas. It simplifies the application process for Texas high school students and other applicants who wish to apply to multiple Texas public universities and participating private institutions.  With Apply Texas, students can complete one centralized application and use it to apply to several universities within the state. This platform streamlines the process, as students don't need to fill out separate applications for each institution they wish to apply to. It's particularly convenient for students who are considering multiple Texas universities as part of their college search.

Through Apply Texas, students can submit their personal information, academic history, extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and essays, among other application components, to the institutions of their choice. Each university may have its own specific requirements and deadlines, but using Apply Texas makes it easier to keep track of various application submissions. Keep in mind that while many Texas public universities use Apply Texas, some private colleges and out-of-state institutions may have their own application platforms, so it's essential to check the requirements for each university you are interested in applying to. Additionally, Apply Texas is specific to Texas, and other states may have their own centralized application systems for their public institutions.

The Common Application

The Common Application, often referred to as the Common App, is an online college application platform used by over 900 colleges and universities in the United States and around the world. It was created to simplify the college application process for students, allowing them to apply to multiple participating institutions using a single application.  The Common App typically opens for new application submissions in August each year for the upcoming college admissions cycle. Students can create an account, start filling out their information, and work on their applications throughout their senior year of high school. The application deadlines for each college may vary, so students should carefully review the requirements and timelines for each institution they are applying to using the Common App.
