How to Get Started
- Apply: Submit your application to be considered for a substitute position.
- Background Check & Interview: Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview and onboarding session. A background check is required as part of this process.
- Attend Orientation: You'll learn what it means to be a substitute in Elgin ISD, have your photo taken for your badge, and provide copies of your documents for I-9 verification.
- Complete New Hire Paperwork & Fingerprinting: You'll receive an email with instructions to complete your new hire forms and schedule your fingerprinting appointment.
- Set Up Your Red Rover Account & Pick Up Your Badge: Once everything is complete, create your Red Rover account to start accepting assignments and collect your substitute badge.
