Construction at EHS to continue this summer

Construction on voter-approved bond projects continues throughout the summer, as Elgin High School heads toward a new era.

Contractors have begun site work on parking lots at the high school, as campus improvement projects move forward. Starting May 27, the EHS traffic pattern moves into Phase 2, which is expected to end on Aug. 16.

Among the projects in the 2021 district bond improvement plan, upgrades at Elgin High School will include a new auditorium, multi-purpose facility, two-story classroom addition, cafeteria expansion, Career and Technical Education wing expansion and additional parking.

Please review Phase 2 maps below, in parent emails and on social media (Facebook, Twitter) if planning stops at Elgin High School this summer.

Traffic pattern adjustments will remain in place until late 2024.
