One Team, One Dream Recognition

One Team, One Dream Honor Recipients
At February's EISD Board of Trustees Meeting, two recognitions were awarded as part of our One Team, One Dream recognition program.
Check out what nominators said about each of these deserving honorees:

"Kristi Cooper has had two sons who have gone through our FFA program, with the last one graduating last year in 2025, yet she STILL continues to serve our FFA and 4H students. She is treasurer for the county stock show, where she is in charge of organizing fundraisers and helps put on and run the county stock show and youth fair. She has also served Elgin FFA as the Booster club President who tirelessly gave and supported the four Ag teachers and the 100 plus FFA members at Elgin HS. She always wants what's best for kids and to help our programs thrive! - Becky Maass

"Our Literacy First team has collaborated across the district this year to provide strong, consistent support for one another and our students. They navigated several challenges, including transitions between campuses, collaborating around testing at multiple locations while others attended required training , adapting to a new instructional approach, and more than doubling the number of students served. Throughout these challenges, the team has demonstrated exceptional flexibility, professionalism, and commitment, continuing to support one another across all elementary campuses. Due to this continued collaboration, so far we have graduated 59 students from the program already this year!" Congratulations to: Theresa Motes, Diana Villarreal, Diana Huitron, Shirley Navejas, Maritza Mendoza, Santa Cruz, Alexandra Oviedo, Laura Aguirre - Mary Grimm

For years, Mr. Shorty Russell has coordinated our tunnel team for varsity football games on Friday nights. Shorty is always the first person to show up at the field for home or away games and each year recruits parents and community members to help support our football teams on the tunnel crew. He also proudly blasts our air horn when the Wildcats take the field and when we score. He never misses a game on Thursday or Friday nights, always encourages our athletes and staff and is true to our Wildcats regardless of the outcome of the game. - Athletic Director Jens Anderson

Coach Lucero has been very supportive of our students academically. He has performed walkthroughs with admin, he has stressed academic excellence with his athletes, helps with lunch duty and hall duty, and supports fine art activities! Thank you, Coach Lucero! -EHS Principal Ametrius Staples

Morgan was nominated by EMS Principal Bobby Joe Truhill. Anything the campus needs, she is there. Ms. Louvier supports in any way and every way possible, whatever the ask. She works tirelessly to create positive experiences for all students at the campus. Congratulations Ms. Louvier!
Our second honoree is Loren Rivera, EMS Assistant Principal, who was nominated by EISD Communications Coordinator Emily White. She helped fill in while Mr. Truhill was out when his baby was born. She runs the school social media and frequently posts videos and reels that gain great reach and interest. Finally, she puts together the weekly parent newsletter and positive communication that goes directly to middle school parent inboxes and phones. Thank you, Loren!!

Our Harvest Ridge Elementary PTA president, Cherish White, truly goes above and beyond to make a lasting difference on our campus and within our community. She leads with heart and dedication, volunteering at school events, lending a hand wherever help is needed, and finding meaningful ways to make every teacher and staff member feel valued and heard. Her commitment shines through in everything she does.

We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Officer Star LaSalde and the Elgin Police Department! She joined us for High Five Friday, greeting EES students with smiles and encouragement during morning arrival, and even surprised us by bringing stuffed animal donations to share with our students.
Her generosity didn’t stop there, Officer LaSalde, along with several officers from the Elgin Police Department, joined our Campus Trunk-or-Treat event to help pass out candy and connect with our families. Thank you, Officer LaSalde and the Elgin Police Department, for being shining examples of community partnership and kindness! - ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ก ๐๐๐๐๐๐ก๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐๐ฏ

Megan has been a tremendous support to our campus, serving as the lead PTA member. She has volunteered her time to be present at all events, and has provided food for our staff. She always asks what is needed and how she can help, and she shows up. She is the epitome of being in this together. She cares about all of us at TRES, and it shows through her actions. She is deserving of this recognition. Way to go, Mrs. Howard!

These two teammates show love every morning and afternoon to our Wildcats and myself (Diana Glynn) and Amberly Lenderman at EIS. They are both always so cheerful and they always love on our kids. They make bus duty not so miserable in the heat and Ms. Lenderman and I adore them both!
Thank you to all who nominated these incredible honorees and congrats to our recipients!
