Our Harvest Ridge Elementary PTA president, Cherish White, truly goes above and beyond to make a lasting difference on our campus and within our community. She leads with heart and dedication, volunteering at school events, lending a hand wherever help is needed, and finding meaningful ways to make every teacher and staff member feel valued and heard. Her commitment shines through in everything she does.
At the heart of everything she does is a simple but powerful message: we’re all in this together. - ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ก ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐๐ง๐ก๐

We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Officer Star LaSalde and the Elgin Police Department! She joined us for High Five Friday, greeting EES students with smiles and encouragement during morning arrival, and even surprised us by bringing stuffed animal donations to share with our students.
Her generosity didn’t stop there, Officer LaSalde, along with several officers from the Elgin Police Department, joined our Campus Trunk-or-Treat event to help pass out candy and connect with our families. Thank you, Officer LaSalde and the Elgin Police Department, for being shining examples of community partnership and kindness! - ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ก ๐๐๐๐๐๐ก๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐๐ฏ

These three individuals have come and supported our very green 5th grade team in lesson planning, CFA creation and Tier 1 instruction. - ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ก ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฏ

Day in and day out, the EISD Child Nutrition Team ensures that every student has access to nutritious meals that fuel their learning and growth. Their commitment to serving with warmth and positivity creates more than just meals—it creates a welcoming experience that students can count on. They work hard day in and day out with smiles on their faces.

Megan has been a tremendous support to our campus, serving as the lead PTA member. She has volunteered her time to be present at all events, and has provided food for our staff. She always asks what is needed and how she can help, and she shows up. She is the epitome of being in this together. She cares about all of us at TRES, and it shows through her actions. She is deserving of this recognition. Way to go, Mrs. Howard!

These two teammates show love every morning and afternoon to our Wildcats and myself (Diana Glynn) and Amberly Lenderman at EIS. They are both always so cheerful and they always love on our kids. They make bus duty not so miserable in the heat and Ms. Lenderman and I adore them both!
Thank you to all who nominated these incredible honorees and congrats to our recipients!

Words from their colleagues:

“Tailar will always help out any time she is asked. She is a tremendous help to purchasing and helping others with purchase orders, quotes or just general everyday questions.”

“Following the devastating tragedy of the loss of one of our students to a car accident over the Labor Day weekend, Mrs. Cox, Mrs. Mendez, and Mrs. Ramirez were instrumental in supporting multiple students and staff members upon our return from the holiday weekend. They worked tirelessly, through lunches to ensure that our students and staff were able to receive support in navigating grief and loss.”

Congratulations to the first-ever One Team, One Dream recognition recipients, who were honored at EISD's Convocation...

Andrea Cardenas - Booker T. Washington Elementary
Andrea was in her first year of a challenging job as an inclusion paraprofessional, and always did more than her share - whether it was covering tasks left for absent team members or helping prepare things for many teachers across campus in her free time. She did all this while exceeding at the responsibilities of her position, holding ALL students to high expectations, working to provide students with accommodations to meet their needs, and celebrating the achievements of scholars and staff alike. Andrea is an incredibly talented educator and a very supportive team member. She deserves to be recognized for all the amazing things she brings to our school community. BTW staff and students, and the Special Education department are so fortunate that she has chosen to call Booker T. Washington her home.

EHS Biology Team
The EHS Biology team is the greatest team that I have worked with. This past year we came together to help our students succeed during STAAR testing. Together we planned and implemented an amazing curriculum that resulted in over 80% of our students passing. I am so excited to continue working with this team! -Zach Nolen

EISD's Bus Drivers and Mechanics
Transportation, as a group, should be nominated and recognized for this honor as we’re all in it together. We have high expectations for ourselves (getting our students safely to school) and for our students (being the best they can be). Each of us are committed to make a difference in the lives of our bus riders every day and take our duties seriously and student safety is our number one priority and concern. I think the bus drivers as a group sometimes are overlooked and under-appreciated and sometimes have to deal with disciplinary problems first before the student even reaches the school or on their way home in the afternoon. Bus drivers make the effort to be up before dawn every day as they are making their early morning stops to pick up and welcome the kids for another school day. Drivers are likely the first face the students see in the morning and the last they see at the end of a long school day. We get to know our kids and their parents too. -George Griffith
